CD Recording | Nuno Sá

The aim of this campaign is to make possible the recording and mixing of a CD, by Nuno Sá and his band. The CD will be recorded in a professional studio.

We want to record an album in HAUS Studios, in Lisbon, so that our music will be recorded with the highest production values possible. It will be our first opportunity to record our songs in a professional setting and a major step towards realizing our creative ambition.

People of HAUS Studios will also help us with the album’s marketing.

We believe that this CD will draw attention from music labels in Portugal.  However, our main goal is to surprise and reach music fans all over Portugal (and beyond...) but, to make this happen, we need your help!

About the author

Nuno Sá – Project author

Nuno began his musical journey when he was a kid and since the age of 18 he’s been writing his own songs. Nuno has already played in and been a member of several musical groups as a bass player, guitarist, vocalist and composer.

He recorded a demo (Êxodo), in 2016, with some of his own songs.

Currently, he teaches music at Dom D’Arte, in Ansião. He is a young man full of passion for creating music.

João Gil (drummer): João took a professional drummer course at Jobra School of Arts and he’s finishing his Drumming Graduation at ESMEL, in Lisbon. He’s currently a drum and music theory teacher in Dom D’Arte, in Ansião.

Francisco Lopes (synthesizer and samples): Francisco is currently studying Electronic Music and Musical Production at ESART, in Castelo Branco.

Pedro Gil (guitar): Pedro studied jazz guitar at Sítio de Sons, in Coimbra and is also teaching guitar in Dom D’arte, in Ansião. He graduated in Management at ISCAC, in Coimbra.

João Sério (bass): João graduated in Biotechnology and has been a member of  several music groups. He’s also done a Meisner Technic course at John Frey Studio for Actors, in Lisbon;

Rita Gonçalves (vocals): Rita is the vocalist and saxophonist of Orquestra Consequência and is also about to finish a Graduation Degree in Sports at University of Coimbra.

Also belonging to the project: 

José Godinho (management): José has completed an Events Production course at World Academy, in Lisbon and  has worked with several bands.

Bernardo Paiva (musical producer): Bernardo graduated in Management, at University of Coimbra and is a guitarist, too. He is also very knowledgeable about the current music scene.

Video Production – ARTEiMANHA

ARTEiMANHA is an audiovisual and production company, led by Ana Clara Saragoça and Rafael Almeida, who are located in Figueiró dos Vinhos. They produced and co-produced several music videos and short-films, such as Dementia (2014), Breaking Through Delusion (2016) and Seeking the Perfect Line (2017).

Budget and due dates

In order to produce a high quality CD we will need 1200€ for the whole project,

The breakdown of costs are as follows:

900€ - Recording, mixing and mastering of the CD;

150€ - Duplication of 100 CD’s (rewards included);

66€ - SPA Copyrights;

60€ - 5% PPL’s commission + Tax

24€ - 2% Payment commissions

Crowfunding campaign: 27th July 2017 until the 18th September 2017

Recording date: From 28th August 2017 until 1st September 2017

Album’s release: To be announced

Rewards: Will be given until the end of November 2017.
