About the author
Os Cantadores do Alentejo is a musical project by five young people, born in 2018 with the aim of writing a new page in the history of Cante Alentejano and Alentejo Popular Music. The objective of the project has always been the composition of Original Themes that would contribute to keeping Alentejo music alive and thus further enrich its repertoire.
The Cantadores do Alentejo participated in the RTP 1 competition, “Got Talent” 2020, a program where they reached the semi-final.
Until then, they gathered in informal gatherings and it was through their friend and musician Jorge Benvinda that they began to seriously consider the possibility of moving from their hobby to a more professional aspect.
Despite having already had several musical experiences, the friendship that unites them, the passion for Cante and the desire to innovate, leads them to say that:
“We are going to sing Modas in our own way and show that Cante can be interesting for all ages”.
Budget and due dates

Detailed budget:
- Music Production, Recording, Mixing and Mastering:
- It varies depending on agreements with producers and studios. Estimate: €4500.
- Disc Design and Production:
- Creation of cover, booklet and physical production. Estimate: €2000.
- General costs:
- Contingency for unforeseen events and administrative costs. Estimate: €1500.
Calendar:
- February:
- Start of negotiations with producers and studios.
- March may:
- Definition of contractual agreements and choice of recording studio.
- June August:
- Recording and production of the album.
- September October:
- Mixing, mastering and album design.
- November:
- Physical production of the disc.
- 2025:
- Album launch and start of the promotional campaign.
