The Final Gala of the First Season of Shortcutz Figueiró os Vinhos will be an award-giving and decoration ceremony of the short-films that participated in the competitive sessions of Shortcutz Figueiró dos Vinhos' first year.

This event will take place on the 2nd September 2017 and will be divided in three parts: Dinner Gala (in a Restaurant to designate), Ceremony (Figueiró dos Vinhos' Culture House) and After-Party (Casulo Malhoa's  Garden/ Arts Centre and Museum). The last two parts are opened to the general public.

Before the Ceremony, a Red Carpet will take place, where the guests will be welcomed with a welcome drink and then they can take individual or group pictures in a photo booth created for the occasion.

At the entrance of the Ceremony, a ballot paper will be distributed to the spectators, so that they can vote for the People’s Choice Award. The winning short-films of each month will be run and in the end, the votes will be collected, counted and then the winner of this award will be determined and revealed.

The Ceremony’s presentation will be carried out by a personality to be defined.

This event will have an Internet live stream and, because of that, by participating in this event, all of the intervenients will give their image rights for this purpose.

After the Ceremony, the guests and the public can go to the After Party, where a music concert by the band TERA will take place. There will be a bar service there too.

About the author

Shortcutz is an international short film movement that is a part of the LABZ NETWORK platform. This international network consists of a short-film competition and exhibition that intends to disseminate, support and stimulate the production of films. As of this moment, this network is implemented in Lisbon, Oporto, Faro, Viseu, Vila Real, Funchal, Guimarães, Figueiró dos Vinhos, Ovar, Rio de Janeiro and Amsterdam.

In Figueiró dos Vinhos, this event is directed by Bernardo Paiva (Financial Management and Production), José Pedro Godinho (Logistics and Production) and Rafael Almeida (Schedule and Production).

Shortcutz Figueiró dos Vinhos has had its first session on 3rd June 2016 and, since then, we’ve already directed twenty sessions. We’ve had 45 guests and we’ve runned 77 short-films.

Altogether, we’ve had around 800 people present in the sessions.

Budget and due dates

Since its beginning on 3rd June 2016, Shortcutz Figueiró dos Vinhos has always been a free event. The partnerships made with the Figueiró dos Vinhos Municipality and all of the raised sponsorships were essential for this event to be accessible for all of the population.

How much do we want to raise?

For the First Season Gala, our goal is to raise 1000 €, through PPL, until 15th September 2017, distributed this way:

·       Prizes expenses: 450 €;

·       Other logistics expenses inherent to the After Party: 400 €;

·       PPl’s Commission: 5 % of the received amount;

·       Rewards: the rest of the amount.
