Sertã, in black and white is a photographic approach to the spaces existing in the village of sertã, all the historical and present envelopment that is revealed to us every day. We will show dams, streams, sidewalks, bridges, castle, pillory, streets, landscapes in a record all black and white.

This exhibition of views on Sertã will also be a means / motto for the preservation of historical spaces, structures and places by the inhabitants of this county and beyond. Sertã is increasingly known throughout the national territory. It is known for gastronomy (you can not fail to taste stuffed stuff or maranhos) and the beautiful landscapes that surround the whole county.

About the author

My name is João Delgado, I'm 45 years old, I live and work in the Sertã Municipality and I work as Technical Assistant in the Sertã Grouping of Schools since 1993.

I am married, I have 2 children and I am from Tete, Mozambique.

At this moment in addition to my work in the Education sector, I am also completing my Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar.

In my spare time, besides sport, I have photography as a hobby and a great passion.

I have been doing photography for about 8 years, and I am upgrading the necessary material according to the evolution and the learning that I am getting, and that every day presents me something new and incredibly fascinating.

From the most impersonal like product photography, through baptized and the vibrant and spontaneous images of sporting events, to the most revealing and intimate storyteller of the photos in individual or group sessions.

I bet on the quality, creativity and spontaneity to capture all the moments, emotions and complicity. Every photographic work is unique, and the primary objective is always to tell a story.
