72/5000 "FOLLOW YOUR DREAM, EVEN IF IT IS DIFFICULT." - Applying for college

I started taking the first steps in computing when I was 14 years old. I'm in an IEFP course and I always dreamed of going to college and I needed your help!

It all started very early and I always had the dream of entering higher education. Unfortunately, I had to leave school too young to be able to support myself and survive.

Since I was unemployed at the moment, I enrolled in an IEFP Course on Network Management and Computer Systems, and I never expected to say this but I'm finally doing what I like. This training is the zero level of the faculty, which gives me equivalences to be able to continue in higher education. It just seemed and seems so impossible because of the tuition and fees.

I would like to join IT and Business Management at ISCTE, because it is a degree that can give me a degree in Computer Science and also in management and it is always good to always have options of what we want to do. I would like to take a Master's degree in Communication and Multimedia and attend the Institute of Education.

With the frequency in the Institute of Education so as to have the possibility to do what I ponder, teach in Africa, to take the technologies and the possibility of more girls to enter Informatics. Which leads me to my second objective, to be able to work from home as a tester and is always an eliminatory factor in applications not having a degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Management.

I hope to find a job after this course is finished so I can stay in college. I only need help for the first year.

I'm Catia and they say I'm self-taught. I was born in Oeiras, but grew up in the municipality of Cascais. I started taking the first steps in computing when I was 14 years old, more specifically in editing and designing images and videos.

I had to drop out of school at age 16 to work and be able to survive, until this opportunity arose because I was unemployed and agreed to take an IEFP Course on Network and Computer Systems Management (ending in April), so I could finally get more knowledge and get a certificate in computer science, go beyond my knowledge in multimedia. With each passing day, I feel more and more like fish in the water in this area and in the future I would like to help in some way through programming and engineering some cause, mainly the cause that I have supported for 4 years. I would like to contribute to a cure. For this and to obtain more knowledge, I would have to enter a university course, something that I always wanted and never had the opportunity to do because of the high price of the proprinas, application, insurance, etc.
