Since I was a child, I've been fascinated by tennis. The social, leisure, and, I can even say, therapeutic aspects of racket sports have always captivated me. However, I realized that playing tennis and later, padel, is a privilege only accessible to some people. For many years, I included myself in that "some people"... I became an orphan when I went to college, and since then, my life has been about working and taking care of myself. I can say that this is the first time I'm giving myself this luxury: to look at myself and not let my dream go unfulfilled. I'm already a father, and one of the greatest lessons I want to pass on to my daughter is to never give up on dreaming because it's never too late to fulfill a dream.
And it's from this dream that the project I present to you is born: LinQ Padel. A more accessible Padel project for everyone and environmentally friendly.
Over several months of dedication and research, an innovative project was born that allows everyone to play Padel without spending a fortune. But we didn't want to stop there. We wanted the project to have an even greater impact on society and the environment.
That's how our circular project of LinQ Padel came about, which, in addition to making sports more accessible to everyone, supports institutions and social and environmental causes. Through sharing resources with community institutions, financing specific needs of social institutions such as firefighters, nursing homes, and organizations that support children, recruiting people in unfavorable situations, and adopting sustainable practices, we aim to create a positive impact on society and the environment.

At this stage, funding is needed to start the refurbishment works, which include installing Padel courts, a social and sustainable area, changing rooms, and a shop. About the author
My name is João Filipe Aguiar, born in Valença do Minho with roots in Mazedo, Monção. From a young age, I discovered my passion for sports and believed in the transformative power it holds within society. Unfortunately, a lack of financial resources prevented me from practicing racket sports such as Tennis and Padel. This sparked my motivation to create a project that would make Padel a more accessible sport for the community.
I am educated in the field of education and have a strong connection with the community and its people. Losing my parents at a young age taught me that life and the world can be unjust. It's this understanding that drives me to want to create a project that can diminish injustices and contribute to a stronger and more united community.
I am an avid reader and believe that education, sports, and culture are fundamental to the development of a just and inclusive society.
With the LinQ Padel project, I aim to combine my passions for sports, community, social justice, and the environment. I am committed to making this project a reality and creating a positive impact in people's lives.

Budget and due dates
The LinQ Padel is an ambitious project aiming to create an accessible sports facility with quality, family comfort, and sustainability. To achieve this goal, the project will be developed in four distinct phases with a total cost of €114,900. In this phase, the financial objectives correspond to a value of €7,500 related to the 1st and 2nd phases of project execution:
Budget and Schedule:
1st Phase: Pavilion Lease and Architectural Project.
Objective:
- Ensure payment of 6 months of rent for the space to guarantee the necessary time to work on the next phase;
- Begin the architectural project for licensing purposes and remodeling works.
Value: €16,900. Objective achieved: €11,900 Amount Needed: €5,000
2nd Phase: Licensing Process and Remodeling Works:
Objective:
- Secure municipal licensing for the space for Commerce and Services use;
- Start remodeling works for the construction of a reception area, café/bar, changing rooms, shop, and children's area.
Value: €37,500 Objective achieved: €35,000 Amount Needed: €2,500
3rd Phase: Communication and Marketing:
Objective: Creation of a Website and brand awareness campaigns.
Amount needed: €2,500. Objective achieved: €2,500.
4th Phase: 3 Padel Courts:
Objective: Purchase, transport, and installation of three padel courts, after the 2nd Phase works, with a total cost of €63,000.
