SOPRO has been working with La Salle Brothers in Mozambique and ESMABAMA Association since 1998 and has since tem we sent volunteers, donations and donations. Now more than ever they need us! SOPRO is organizing the crowndfunding campaign to help the Community of La Salle Brothers in Mozambique, responsible for the João XXIII School, La Salle College and La Salle Educational and Assistance Center. They are also responsible for the 150 SOPRO godchildren who attend the João XXIII School. According to Brother Sebastião: "In the coming days we will help to donate a basket of food to satisfy the hunger of many families. We will send on behalf of the donors many zinc sheets to help cover the many houses discovered.Yes Our works were very affected, there are many more needy than we. There is so much to do and we are struggling to rebuild our educational works to resume with classes as soon as possible.Yes! In tune with the Lasallians and friends we will contribute in this moment that calls us to be supportive! "

Escola João XXIII onde estudam os 150 Afilhados da SOPRO

SOPRO is also raising funds for ESMABAMA Missions, a Mozambican NGO that started its activities in 1997. It is one of the largest Mozambican NGOs with 167 employees. The main objective of ESMABAMA is to improve the living conditions of people living in the southern part of the province of Sofala, implementing education, health and income generation projects / activities. ESMABAMA reaches populations of about 500,000 people, 8,000 of them students and 1,700 poor children who live in boarding schools located in 4 locations (Estaquinha, Mangunde, Barada and Machanga), administered by the Association. In ESMABAMA the villages along the rivers have disappeared and still do not know of more than 130 employees of the Association. It is only possible to reach all the ESMABAMA helicopter places.

SOPRO - Solidarity and Promotion, was founded in 1996 by a group of young volunteer students from La Salle College, having its headquarters at Casa Irmão Manuel in Barcelinhos, in the city of Barcelos, Portugal. SOPRO is recognized as a Non-Governmental Organization for Development (NGDO) with the Non-Profit Public Utility Entity Statute by the Camões IP Institute under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

One of the reasons for the founding of SOPRO was the support for the La Salle Mission in Mozambique, which began in 1998. At that time, it began its support in the João XXIII School and the ESMABAMA Missions with the sending of volunteers, material and help financial management.

At the João XXIII School, SOPRO supports and guarantees access to the School and the feeding of 150 students, who are well but have no food or home.
