The Principezinhos Project , through the stimulation of social and emotional skills , of children between 3 and 6 years old, will complement the preschool curriculum on Príncipe Island, with the kindergarten teacher as a facilitator of discovery. With the main objective of empowering children with the skills necessary to achieve academic success . And we will do it with this motto: learn by doing, learn in contact with nature . We will offer activities such as building shelters with mud, creating works of art with natural elements, creating school gardens, and much more. And providing auxiliary technicians and educators from the public Pre-School network on Príncipe Island with the knowledge to do so.
What will we do if we manage to achieve the final objective of this campaign:
- Fund the participation of 10 children in the Principezinhos Project practical room during one school year (2023/2024).
Implementation plan (September 2021 to July 2025 - 4 full academic years):
- Participation of 25 children per school year in the Practical room of the Little Princes Project.
- Practical training in the classroom, for two assistant technicians per academic year;
- Formal training for auxiliary technicians and educators in the public pre-school network on Príncipe Island.
- Formal training for the coordinating team of Pre-School on Príncipe Island.
- At the end of the 4 years of the project, we will have trained all the assistants and kindergarten teachers on the island of Príncipe, thus ensuring that children's social and emotional skills will be better developed in all pre-school children on the island of Príncipe.
Project objectives: Combat school failure and increase opportunities for children on the island of Príncipe, and in the long term, to be agents of change/development in their community.
