JoSe Project consist inpairing up young people with elder people, allowing the elder to have companionship in their daily life and the young to study in Lisbon with low acommodation costs.
JoSe Project begins with a social entrepreneurship contest of a youth group wich had the purpose of solving a problem of our city, Lisbon.
The idea comes from observing how serious was loneliness among the elder and economic difficulties among university students who weren't from Lisbon. The solution was to gather these two groups of people and their lifes.
After winning that contest, we decided to start the project for real and entered challenge of social entrepreneurship of BET24, wich brought us to PPL.
JoSe Project consists in pairing elder and young people, allowing the elder to have more company in their daily life and the young to study in a different city with small acommodation costs.
This project already exists in other cities, like Coimbra and Oporto, where it has helped elder and young through time.
We want to start it now in Lisbon, the biggest city in Portugal, in Avenidas Novas as it is near faculties and good houses.

About the author
Raquel Neves, 24 years old, born in Lisbon. With a degree in Management and a masters in economics by ISEG- School of Economics and Management, is now doing a internship at EDP. She has studied music for 13 years at Escola de Musica Nossa Senhora do Cabo and swimmed for 10 years. She likes to travel and walking with a map on her hands, nautic sports, sea waves and BTT. She was part of Missao Pais by IST and currently does volunteering work.
Ana Maria Alvarinho, 27 years old, has always wanted to help the others. She is from Alentejo and works as a pharmacist, trying to help the costumers every day. She is passioned about her family, friends, traveling, volunteering, dancing, sports and discovering new things every day. When challenged to improve Lisbon, she and four friends started JoSe project.
Ana Rita Silva, 28 years old, is from Lisbon. Willing to participate in improving other people lives made her choose working as a dentist. She loves to cook, read, travel and seeing movies, but she has always time for those who need her. She was searching for a volunteering project that spoke to her heart until she found JoSe project.
Nuno Cunha is from Lisbon and has graduated in Informatics Engeneering by Faculdade de Ciencias e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa. During college time, he joined several volunteering activities, entrepreneurship and teaching projects. He also had some musical projects due to his formation in music. Nowadays, at 26 years old, he is a software enngeneering at KPMG, amateur musician and passioned about Lisbon.

Budget and due dates
JoSe Project has been developed with volunteering work from the founders. However, some steps need financial assistance. Therefore, we are here on PPL to gather the necessary budget to deal with burocracy, some publicity of the project in the neighbourhood, a fisical space to the project and a psicologist to help with the process of pairing up. Futhermore, once the project has had some success, we would like to have as online platform.
So, we would like to raise 1000€ to start the project,
