ISABEL SILVESTRE is one of the most renowned singers of portuguese traditional music which, for decades, she has striven to preserve and divulge, both as solo singer and as mentor of the “Grupo de Cantares de Manhouce”, a vocal group of women that promoted the traditional songs of Manhouce, her hometown .
This new CD of Isabel Silvestre presents original arrangements of traditional music created by some excellent and well-known musicians in Portugal but also arrangements of songs of other singers like Amália Rodrigues that enhance her unique and recognizable voice.
Giving continuity to her tireless dedication to the revitalization of our cultural identity, this CD reveals innovation, sensitivity, love and joy, ingredients that, in essence, characterizes those who love their art and their homeland.
“Cânticos da Terra e da Vida” is a hymn to the portuguese musical traditions.

With this campaign we want to spread this new project of the singer ISABEL SILVESTRE among all those that love portuguese traditional music and her extraordinary voice.
ISABEL SILVESTRE has dedicated several decades to the dissemination of the music that she learns from their ancestors at Manhouce, a small portuguese village.
We want to release 2000 BOOK/CD (digibook)
BUDGET
Recording sessions, invited musicians, studio rental, productions, CD mastering, digibook pressing, copyrights, promotion - 22.000 euros.
With the amount we are asking for we aim to reduce the costs of this investiment, giving in return some interesting rewards.
