Hello there,

My name is Tiago Barbosa. I'ḿ a portuguese singer, keyboardist, composer,  lyricist and producer and I have had a dream for many years: to record a solo album.  I've already done some records with several bands (still do) yet I finally decided to go solo. Why now? Well, because the songs have matured enough,  and also because, althrough my years as a musician, I have been fortunate enough to play and be friends with a group of wonderful musicians that are offering me their talent and hard work to make this record real.
That being said, my solo album will be a collection of songs (some with portuguese lyrics and others in english) that reflect my personalitty as well as all my musical influences from mainstream music, progressive-rock, world music and even some jazz (fusion). I believe in strong melodies and a lot of emotion to achieve good songs that hopefully can become a part of some people's life soundtrack. That's what I aim for: to touch people's heart, mind and soul.

Besides, I have managed to get a studio where I can record and mix my music for a very friendly price. I'm recording 14 songs. 10 will be in the album and the extra 4 will be available as future bonus tracks (one of these will be available for download as one of the rewards for donators).
To make my dream come true i will need a 2000€ budget: 1000€ for pre-production, recording, mixing and mastering and another 1000€ for the fisical edition (Royalties and CD manufacturing).
Deadline: October 2014. Everything will be done by that date.

About the author

Tiago Barbosa. Portuguese singer, keyboardist, composer,  lyricist and producer.
I co-wrote and recorded two albums with my first band, prog-rockers Forgotten Suns: "Fiction edge I" (2001) and "Snooze" (2004). I co-wrote and recorded three albums with blues-rock band Casual Attraction, "At First Sight" (2006), "Casual Live Tracks"(2008) e "From Scratch"(2012) (the song "Standing By The Window" became part of the portuguese soap opera's soundtrack "Mundo ao Contrário" in 2013). Currently I'm the singer, pianist, composer and producer in the Pop/Traditional band Cambraia with whom I recorded the first album "Concordar Com Gente Grande" in 2013 (the song "Apenas Um Sorriso" became part of the portuguese soap opera's soundtrack "Belmonte" in 2014, still at exhibition). Curently I also teach  piano and singing at public school and at home. I live for music and I make a living from music.
The musicians that will acompany me in this musical adventure are my musical brothers
Pedro Soares (acoustic and electric guitars), Miguel Baptista (acoustic and electric guitars, portuguese guitar), Pedro Reis (bass), Luís Pereira (keyboards), Ricardo Daniel (drums & percussion).

Pré-produção, gravação, mistura e masterização: 1000€ (preço de amigo para estúdio e técnico) Edição (direitos de autor) e duplicação de CD's: 1000€ Total: 2000€ O disco será gravado entre Maio e Julho (em Março e Abril haverá ensaios de pré-produção com os músicos que vão participar). Será editado entre Outubro e Novembro. Tudo neste ano de 2014. Se eventualmente se conseguir mais de 2000€ esse dinheiro será investido em divulgação (imprensa e internet sobretudo).
