Valentina - Book by Rita Campos

This campaign is to assure that the author Rita Campos continues writing the book that she started in India. To write this book the author feels that it’s very important to be on the place of action - between India and Sri Lanka. The goal of this project is to write a new book titled, Valentina. I´ve already started this romance in India but I need to raise 1000 euros to go to Sri Lanka to continue writing. The action of this history is placed between India and Sri Lanka.

I get inspiration in everything that surrounds me. As a traveler that I am, it’s crucial to be in the country to be embedded by the culture, to feel the taste, the smell, the temperature, the sound, the energy, and the rhythm of the voices. All these things will help to create a new reality, the reality of Valentina´s Book.

Valentina is a woman who knows how to keep herself alive even when everyone thinks she has reached the end. She lives surrounded by women, men and children in a distant place, but will find her way to our world.

Valentina's story has its eyes on the pure and wildish nature, that help us not to restrict our lives to the human beings. It has the necessary breath to tell what you know, to say what you feel and the bravery to support what you see without looking away.

In that place all women live like a wolf pack, they are connected to the mother earth, honor their bodies and trust in their power of intuition, innate to all women and celebrate their natural cycles.  They sit in a circle knowing that in that way they reconnect themselves to the feminine ancestors, to the distant and sacred times, running through the present with the consciousness that they are healing and nourish each other.

I invite you to dive into Valentina's tale and to be touched by her wild soul.

The end date of the book it is still undefined however it will be done as soon as possible.

About the author

Rita Campos was born in Caldas da Rainha on March 4 ^th  in 1981.

With a Master's Degree in Sports Psychology, from Faculdade de Motricidade Humana and a Degree in Physical Education and Primary School Teacher from Escola Superior de Educação de Leiria, she has been working as a teacher.

 As a writer and a storyteller she has published her first book “O Gato Juno” in 2007, and then she  published “A Manta Clarinha” and “O Meu Natal é o Melhor” in 2012. In 2014 she published “Tui”.

Motivation

Her biggest motivation is to continue writing this book that she started in India. The action happens between India and Sri Lanka and she needs to go to Sri Lanka to feel the culture, enriching the story that will be offered do the reader. She feels motivated about this campaign and she believes that the fundraising will be successful on the right time.

Professional experience

Physical Education teacher, Primary School Teacher, Surf Instructor, Swimming Instructor, Fitness Instructor, Pilates instructor. 

Budget and due dates

The budget to this project is 1000€. This amount is for the plane ticket to Sri Lanka, food and accommodation, for two weeks. The limit date to raise the funds is on March 17th, 2016. The expected date of the travel is between March 19th and April 4th, 2016.
