We have decided to make Descla’s 25th anniversary a commemorative number, a collector’s edition. The purpose of this special number is to select and reedit the 25 best travel locations in Portugal, as they have been published in the 24 previous editions.
Descla (sport, culture and leisure) is a trimonthly magazine which emerges as a project of two young entrepreneurs that found themselves without a job. Since leaving the country would not help towards the fight of the economical and social crisis, they decided to build a project that would enable the best promotion of the national culture and values, hence boosting tourism in Portugal, as an inner movement, as well as an outer movement, from foreign tourists. This magazine aims at displaying what best is done in Portugal, as well as the sectors in which such is achieved, both in and out of its borders. Founded in April of 2011, Descla stands out as a magazine where crisis is not discussed, showcasing solely what of good is made in our country.

Descla’s magazine base is in Viseu, at the heart of the country, therefore allowing us to provide a vision of what both lives and knows the inside of the country, simultaneously revealing those that with so little means accomplish big achievements. Far from the metropolis, we aim at publicizing the “hidden and so often left to oblivion Portugal”.
In this commemorative edition, stand out themes such as: Portugal natural parks, mountain villages, schist villages, historical villages, the megalithic route, among other subjects of interest.
