This campaign aims to da fundraising for the participants of the artistic residences of FiGAC
The International Artistic and Cultural Management Forum (FIGAC) is a cultural event that has taken place in the north of Portugal since 2010. It is a requirement for the Bachelor of Cultural and Artistic Management course from the Polytechnical Institute of Viana do Castelo (IPVC).
As a continuation to the project that was started in 2015, FIGAC 2016 is organising an ‘Artistic Residential’ programme with an aim to promote opportunities for the mobility of European Emerging Artists and their cultural and creative pieces of art.
Therefore, the 2016 FIGAC Committee is inviting 6 European Emerging Artists to participate in an ‘Artistic Residential’ programme that will take place from the 26th May to the 3rd June 2016, in Viana do Castelo, where the aim is to create a collective artistic project which will be publicly displayed on the 2nd June 2016.
During the event, ‘Artistic Residential’ participants will stay in an 8 person apartment in Viana do Castelo. The accommodation provided is all inclusive (room, board, three meals per day).
To complete the project, participants will have access to the various facilities at IPVC (outdoor amphitheatre, art room, drama room, multimedia room etc.)
They will also have the opportunity to establish a number of contacts with regional artists and cultural centres.
Each participant will be given a €100 subsidy towards transportation costs from their home base to Viana do Castelo.
As a whole, a €600 grant is provided to the group for transportation costs.
