About the author

Mónica Ribeiro lost her parents at 13 in one of the world's biggest natural disasters, the Tsunami of 2004. 10 years later she describes everything she went through on that day, that could have been her last, and afterwards, and what she has done these last decade to overcome The Impossible.

Elsa Freitas suffers from a congenital disease, named Spina Bifida, that put her in a wheel chair at only 12 years of age. One year later she started hemodialysis, procedure from which she still depends to survive today, at 26.

Below are the dates and locations where the event will take place in Algarve:
 
Olhão - Auditório Municipal de Olhão - 24th October at 15h00
 

Portimão - Museu de Portimão - 25th October at 16h00

Faro - Auditório 1.5 da Universidade do Algarve, Campus da Penha - 26th October at 10h00

Budget and due dates

For now, we need 600 euros to cover all our expenses, until the 24th October. Our expenses include: 300€ - Airplane trip from Madeira to Lisbon with connection to Faro and back, 30€ - Bus trip from Evora to Portimão and back, 80€ - Accommodation for two nights for one of the speakers, 70€ - Food supply to all 3 speakers (for 3 days to one speaker and 2 days for the other 2 speakers) 20€ - printing of tickets and posters, 100€ - Cost of room technicians at the Algarve University's auditorium in Faro.
