During the ;Steps for Mental Health walk, a campaign will take place to collect donations to support the Support Unit for students with multiple disabilities at Escola Secundária Viriato.
On May 1st, Farmácia Viriato in partnership with Escola Secundária Viriato will carry out a walk through the city of Viseu, passing through points such as Cava de Viriato, Parque de Santiago and the Statue of Viriato.
This walk will be carried out within the scope of the PharmaMente project, a project to be developed by Farmácia Viriato whose purpose is to promote health and mental well-being.
With registration you will be offered a Viriato Pharmacy Walking Kit (shirt, cap, water and snacks). On this walk we will run a fundraising campaign for the Support Unit for Students with Multi-Disabilities at Escola Secundária Viriato. Viriato Secondary School is attended by 26 students with specific needs arising from Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, rare syndromes, degenerative diseases and severe cognitive deficit, some of them with multiple disabilities and a high degree of dependence. These students participate in activities developed and adapted to each one, with emphasis on the Multiactivity Room and the Multisensory Room where, in multidisciplinary teamwork, communication, cognitive, motor, relational, emotional/behavioral regulation and physical and psychological well-being.
For more effective and efficient adapted responses, the aim is to continue equipping/updating these Rooms with specific technological, didactic, pedagogical, sensory and therapeutic materials.
