ACSSE is a community association that promotes school access for all children in the Suzana Section, in Guinea-Bissau. This campaign aims to paint 41 classrooms in 10 schools, improving teaching conditions for 1,700 students.
Currently, many of the schools in the Suzana section lack the infrastructure needed for basic teaching and learning conditions. Many achievements have already been made through the efforts of ACSSE, in collaboration with parents and local communities. But to continue providing school access to children in the region, reduce educational inequalities, promote better learning conditions, and enable all children to develop key competences for their growth, ACSSE needs all your help and collaboration.
At the end of 2022, ACSSE launched a project that aims to reform school infrastructure and support teaching, namely through the construction of residences for teachers. In some schools it has already been possible to replace the roof, in others the pillars that support the building have been reinforced. With the infrastructure restored, the aim is now to paint 41 classrooms in 10 schools, which will improve teaching and learning conditions for children from pre-primary to the 6th year of schooling.
At this stage of the project, ACSSE intends to paint the schools of Arame, Cassu, Catão, Djobel, Djufunco, Edjatem, Edjim, Elia, Tenhate and Varela Madina.
It is very important that, if you decide to help, you check the “Unconditional donation” option. This ensures that, even if the full amount is not reached, at least your donation will be guaranteed and some of the schools can begin to be restored. Any amount is welcome!
