Nobody's Biznessare celebrating 10 years on the road and are on their way to their second album. You can be a part of this adventure! All their friends and fans (and fan-friends and friend-fans!) are invited along for the ride! The release of this new album is scheduled for September 2013, in a concert to be announced, in Lisbon. The concert will also be our 10th anniversary party.

Until the end of April we will be working hard in the studio and we hope to have the first demo in May. Then we have to take care of all the CD duplication, design and manufacturing the CD covers, so that in August we can have CD ready for distribution. And it’s towards this small steps that we need financing right now. This fundraising campaign will help us with part of the money needed for: 

• studio recording and post-production
• CD duplication
• design and manufacturing álbum cover
• making a music video

“Donkey” is named after the band’s desire to help Burricadas, an organization devoted to the preservation and rescue of donkeys that are old, abused or abandoned and you will also be helping out by participating in this campaign.

About the author

If the blues were born on the banks of the Mississipi river, in the USA, or a little more remotely, on the banks of the Niger, in West Africa, it was only natural that sooner or later they would end up - carried by winds and tides and by the will of mermaids - flowing onto the mouth of the Tagus river, in the city of Lisbon.

It was from the desire to recreate the blues, the original blues, that the lisboner band, Nobody's Bizness is born, in 2003, to rescue from the dust of time and from the grooves of old 78 rpm recordings, blues’ legends such as Robert Johnson, Tampa Red, Ida Cox, Alberta Hunter, Bessie Smith, Willie Dixon, Skip James or Muddy Waters, with their personal arrangements.

After a long season of performances that took them from mouth to hear across the country, they edited in 2006, through the Netlabel You Are Not Stealing Records, a free EP (Live at Capela da Misericórdia, Sines) that travelled way beyond the Portuguese borders, with over 20.000 official downloads.

In 2010, they edit their first studio album (It’s Everybody’s Bizness Now), in which, for the first time, together with favorite covers, the band presents original themes, paving the way for new sounds and for a new beginning. The essence of the music that first inspired them is still there, but is now dressed in their own creativity and in their view of the blues sound nowadays, crossed with North American folk music, jazz and country.
