"COLUMBUS TRIP" is an idea that comes from a long time ago and that now needs all the possible help to become a reality.
The purpose will be to record a CD with some guests from the NSO (USA) .
For us, musicians with a great ambition, nothing would make us more accomplished than being able to make this dream a reality, travelling to Washington DC and record this CD.
The program will include a lot of repertoire, from music to quartet to pieces for 6 horns. We are going to play music from American and European composers. Portuguese music will be obviously present, with works by the admirable and unique trompista Adácio Pestana.

The quartet was founded some years ago, since the time we studied together in ESMAE with prof. Abel Pereira.
We always wanted to do something like this, and now we have the opportunity.
Music is a global language, and of course the fact of recording in USA will provide us a huge window to the american people and american markets.
We want this CD to be from all the musicians around the world!
Thanks,
Oporto Horn Quartet
