I'm a photographer and I have a dream - publish my first bookof photographs. I therefore invite you to take part in the publication of this book. Your contribution will act as a PRE-PURCHASE of it. Thank you!
The present project was born from the desire to use Photography as a generating element that is transforming the vulgar, the amorphous, the forgotten, into living and latent things in the veins of everyday life and presenting to the human eye /spirit a kind of toast to the beauty and the magic that hide in the soul of things.
It was after this concept that I decided to photograph details that are often hidden in the most different places and that, generally, we do not perceive with the naked eye.
It is, therefore, through the objective that these elements take a breath of life, showing us all their strength, all their poetry, all their soul.
This exercise of images is my contribution in the sense of developing a sensorial and emotional quality of life that leads the human being to commune with what in the universe makes Him common to everything that surrounds Him ... every day ... at all times - the beauty contained in the essence of His Soul and the poetic force of the Soul of Things.
This is my first book and it was the beautiful evaluation text of my first steps in Photography, written by the journalist Roberto Cordeiro (in memory) that inspired its creation.
“THE BLACK AND WHITE of this highly sensitive photographer-poet, explores into details all that is focused by his sight, sometimes in a tracery shining by itself, sometimes in labyrinths of shadow and brightness, sometimes in images of irrepressible poetry.
(...)
Pointing a camera to a place, a form, a wall, a ladder, a simple basketball basket, is much more than making a gesture – particularly when the one doing it has acknowledged the poetic sense of its dimension, and its authentic perpetuity.
(...)
Agnaldo Lima gazed at them, then he captured and read their soul. It is said that all things have a soul, but one needs to know how to see it, how to find it.
(…)
Agnaldo Lima, attentive and curious, he discovers photography as a means of expression, opting for black and white. He believes that photographing is an act of love; love for nature, love for humankind, love for life.” This is precisely what his photography transmits.
(…)
That is what the reader can find in Poetry in Black and White – The Soul of Things and Other Souls, where poetry goes hand in hand with everyday black and white.”
