“Conquest – the musical” is a portuguese inovative, original romantic comedy performed live which will bring back the greatest hits of portuguese music, inserted in a fascinating story that will not leave you indiferent.
With its premiere scheduled for november 17th 2017 in the Cine-teatro Joaquim de Almeida in Montijo, "Conquest - the Musical" is a romantic comedy with multiple sides, a tribute to portuguese music and an hommage the great portuguese comediants.
A show that will include a mix of handpicked ingredientes such as neverseen coreographies that will combine different dance styles, the use of day to day objects and body to create orginal percussive and theatrical performances, the presence of stand up comedy inserted in the story itself, constant audience interaction. All in all an unforgettable and must see show.
"Conquest" is a musical for the whole family which aims to develop a liking for theatre and culture.
It is within this context, as we consider the theatre as a fundamental piece for both pesonal and cultural growth, that we intend to go on an unprecedented tour, across Portugal, decentralizaing theater and major productions from the metropolitan area in exclusive and providing a close contact between people and the arts, promoting the birth and growth of
theater groups. This is something that makes this projet unique, both in ideals and complexity.
However, a project this size is, by itself, costly, as the resources needed to carry it forward are multiple and complex.
On the people side the expenses with the creation of the play, cast and musicians stands out.
On the material side, sound,lights, stage prep, are the main factor asunfortunately most theaters in our country aren't equipped to deal with events this size.
We are hereby turning to the PPL and crowdfunding campaigns as the smallest contribution may help our Association to fulfill this dream of ours and because only with your support and publicity can we transform this dream into a true success.
About the author
The non profit cultural group Apocalypse - Associação de teatro de musicais, was born from a dream of producing theater projects, both original and inovative, that stand out by their diversity and quality, and to getting these projects to the whole country.
A Group born from the bond between simple people in love with the arts and stage, whose goal was only to find a way to express their love and provide cultural and leisure moments to all.
Although only created in 2017, some of its members were already involved in producing shows since early 2007, in their resumé the musicals "whiper for a
Girl", "Realidades dançadas" and "Grease Remix" stand out.
This project joins a team of 33 elements, all of them common people of similar tastes and wills, that love the stages, the music, theater and dance. Producers, coreographers, musicians, dancers, actors and singers, most with both training and a vast experience in their fields.
At management we have the Producer Lázaro Prego, Director Paulo M. Ferreira, Musical direction Luis Pinto and Miguel Teixeira, 2 Coreographers Igo Lima and Daniel Soares, 2 set designers Flávio Tomé and Nuno Ferreira, as well as 12 people in charge with supporting these roles.
The cast includes 18 singers, actors and dancers Alexandra Pato, Aline Neves, André Avelino, Catarina Vaz, David Gomes, Filipa Azevedo, Flávio Tomé, Gonçalo Lima, Joana Lobo, João Alves, Leandro Silva, Luís Marvão, Mónica Mendes, Mónica Sintra, Nuno Ferreira, Rebeca Duarte, Sara Cabeleira e Tiago Pereira) and 5 musicians (João Mousinho, João Teixeira, Luís Pinto, Miguel Teixeira e Paulo Abelha).

For the remaining resources we are estimating approximately 21.000€
Total raised by crowdfunding: 5.000€ – PPL Comissions 430,50€ (7% +IVA) = 4.569,50€
As the value is high, it’s our objective to raise 5.000€ through the current campaign, which will provide the stepping stone to fulfilling the dream.
