Campaign to raise funds to buy Rodrigo Bernardo medication, medication that is not reimbursed by our state and has a monthly cost of +/- 450 €
I come to ask for help so that Rodrigo does not stop taking his monthly medication that has a cost of +/- 450 € that comes from the UK via Spain and with which Rodrigo has done very well.
Rodrigo is a 6 year old boy and has suffered from Nephrotic Syndrome since 18 months. At 21 months the supra renal autoimmune disease was diagnosed. This is a disorder of the glomeruli (blood vessels that filter the blood that passes through the kidneys) in which excessive amounts of protein are excreted in the urine. Excessive protein excretion typically leads to fluid accumulation in the body (edema) and low levels of protein and high levels of fats in the blood.
Rodrigo, just like any child, started his school year this year and medication is helping a lot to get back to a "normal" life.
The amount requested will give 1 month of Rodrigo's medication.
