Tuba Mirum Lisbon is a project directed by Adam Woolf, in which portuguese voices unite with historic wind instruments from other european countries. Come and listen to this concert on the 2nd of April at 7:30 p.m. in St. George's Church, by Estrela, Lisbon.
The ensemble Les Secrets des Roys has decided to offer a unique concert to the city of Lisbon. The exquisite works of Heinrich Schütz, Orlando di Lasso and their contemporaries, are presented in a programme in which emotive, grand motets contrast with the intimacy of solo pieces. This concert will be a rare opportunity to hear the combination of voices, sackbuts and cornetts, just like they used to be heard on the most important and solemn celebrations of the baroque period. Putting Tuba Mirum Lisboa together implies a number of expenses with accomodation, flights and meals for the invited musicians that come from abroad. Your contribution will help Les Secrets des Roys to enable this project.

About the author
Born in 2009,the ensemble Les Secrets des Roys is a group specialised in the music of the baroque period. Its core formation is a vocal quartet with a continuo section of viol and lute, but they also present themselves in other combinations of musicians, according to the repertoire. Amongst the invitees, Les Secrets des Roys have worked not only with other musicians, but also with scene directors and multimedia designers. This ensemble works with continuity and has performed in places like Palácio de Queluz, Palácio dos Condes do Marquês de Pombal, Palácio Foz, Espaço Cultural de Santa Catarina, Palácio Pimenta and a number of churches, like Convento de Santos-o-Novo, from which a live concert was broadcasted by one of the portuguese national radios (Antena 2), Igreja da Ordem de S. Francisco (Fundão), Igreja Matriz de Alpedrinha and Igreja de São Roque, on the occasion of the inauguration of the beautiful S. John's Chapel, after its restoration. Les Secrets des Roys participated in the first 3 editions of the Festival de Música Antiga de Castelo Novo,with scenic performances, and twice in Fundão´s Lent festival, Quadragésima.
