Produce an exoskeleton for paraplegics walk again
This project consists of the final production of exoskeleton prototype for lower limbs, allowing a paraplegic with the aid of crutches can autonomously get up and walk to perform from the most basic tasks to a walk.
The goal will be to have a single operating device and where the paraplegic can by itself establish their legs in the exoskeleton and hold the straps in the upper body.
All the exoskeleton will be powered by high-performance batteries, with a range estimated at walk of about 4 hours.
The user give an indication of standing, walking and sitting through a remote control pulse.
Servomotors with mechanically gears and acceleration control will be used, in order to increase power thereof, thereby achieving a maximum weight of 90kg user.
Independent controllers for each servomotor, the management is further performed for 5 processing units.
Estimated sales of the final product 8,000€ - 9,000€
Currently exist in the market 3 International Companies that sell similar product in the order of 100,000€ / 130,000€
The drastic reduction of the final value of the product presented by us, is the use of robotics servos modified to obtain a higher power, machining of all components in CNC by our partner, control code developed and optimized by us.
The distribution of the final product will be exclusively for us, thus reducing the possibility of intermediate and inflating the sale price, which is one of our goals, to offer a product of relatively affordable acquisition.
We will throughout the project trying to get partnered with some credit companies, trying to get better conditions of purchase, thus facilitating the product to people who do not have immediate financial conditions.
