Thus was born the Incluirte Project, where the inclusion is done by the art, be it painting, cooking or sewing.
In the end of the school year 2012/2013, the Special Needs Team of Agrupamento de Escolas de Abrigada proposed to the School Board that the school guard house at school, which had been inhabited till about 3 years, would no longer be a pantry and be a learning spot to special needs students.
That was how Incluirte Project was born, where inclusion is made by art, no matter if it is made by painting, cooking or sewing. From then on, the students have a place to develop their curriculum, learning to do daily and instrumental activities, always bearing in mind their autonomy, and above all, their hapiness.
The house has two bedrooms, a laundry, a bathroom, a kitchen and a living room. The kitchen was still functional but has been degrading in the last year. So, we decided to work hard and move on with our dream. As baking bread with chourizo and cookies isn´t enough, we thought we could count on you all. Above all, we are entrepreneurs teachers and students. We participated in several contests and wone a very important one. We are now nominated to a SE+ (Social Entrepreneurship +).
