Before I was Born is the title of my next solo exhebition in which I will present paintings and sculptures in a search for identity and how the world was before and after my presence in this world. Figurative, abstract and pop language transports the viewer into a world of fantasy and psychedelic.

For reasons related to the national and international scene, and to the present crisis is not easy for an artist to achieve these objectives, so other molds needed to achieve this, without wanting to discredit the work of galleries and means involved but it is certain that also across difficulties

About the author

Lives and works in Lisbon .. From 1996 to 2001 he studied at Ar.Co, Lisbon, where he completed the Advanced Course in Visual Arts in 2001. He has exhibited individually in galleries such as: Graça Brandão, Porto (2003), Hammer Sidi, London (2003), Vera Cortes Art Agency, Lisbon (2005), the Casa Triangulo, Sao Paulo (2005) and Chemistry at The Gallery in Prague (2008)

Since 1996 he has participated in several collective exhibitions, including the Exhibition of Students of Ar.Co (1999, 2000 and 2001) in The Collector’s Room, Galeria Canvas, Porto (2002), in 48ème Salon de Montrouge (European Young Creators Salon) Montrouge, Barcelona and Amarante (2003); V Jóvenes Call for Artists, Gallery Luis Adelentado, Valencia (2003) and now as commissioner and one of the intervening artists in the “Afrontamentos” project and one of of the founders of Art Protesters.

His work lives at the border between painting and sculpture, gives canvases a three-dimensional value obtained though the use of elevations and depressions caused by, previously shaped wood supports, or closer to the present, through the creation geometrical volumes in synthetic material in which multicolored plastic semi spheres are dug into the pieces.

    Studio visit / Paperboard painting

    Workshop / Canvas painting

    Above 500 € you can have a worshop fine arts, having the option to be painting and sculpture, or both, with flexible hours and lasting for a week, or the offer of a painting on canvas, still to be painting with the size of 50 x 50 cm. Delivery of prints, paintings and collages will be held in September 2014. The workshops will be conducted in February 2015 or in case of impossibility according the availability of patrons. For the visits to my studio, as well as the surrounding environment is scheduled according to the availability of the two, may be flexible between weekdays and weekends.
