The last solo album of Rui Rodrigues called "Portugal-Velho" needs support in the final phase for the press printing and for the promotion.
Rui Rodrigues is a portuguese drummer, author, and composer. His first solo album “Portugal-Velho“ is a deconstruction of the work of percussionists. In this work Rui Rodrigues composed the musics rhythmically and "invited musicians and singers to do what is normally the responsibility of the percussionists: to follow or to arrange the songs."
This album is a form of provocation at a time of "interesting social change" and the expression “Portugal-Velho” refers precisely to this, meaning (portuguese honest and "too" loyal).
The first single, the song "Zé Pereira", can now be heard in Quatrada, album by the group Galandum Galundaina, that played and arranged the music written by Rui Rodrigues.
This unique fact: the release of a single in two different discs is part of the atypical design of this artist who brings us an original work.
