The objective of this campaign is to raise funds to promote and divulge the work carried out at the Maternura Child Center Association, through social media and field campaigns.

The Maternura project was set up at the beginning of 2011 in Ílhavo, Portugal, by Claudia Pinheiro, a Pregnancy and Early Childhood Body Psychotherapy Crisis Intervention, a variant of Family Therapy developed in Germany by a Body Psychotherapist - Paula Diederichs. 

The fundamental intent of Maternura is to offer parents a support network which leads to greater confidence and pleasure in parent/child bonding. This Child Center arose, therefore, after realizing that one of the basic needs of Portuguese parents is finding a safe haven to leave their children from an early age.

Changes are best dealt with when there is an emphatic presence and when a baby arrives, this whirlwind of change occurs at various levels in the family. The attentive manner and complicity with which parents and their babies and children are received, as well as adapting to their individual needs is what sets Maternura apart from other institutions.

The project offers diverse specialized services to offer logistic and emotional support to all pregnant woman or/and those who have children up to the ages of 6. In an interdisciplinary form it offers Day Care services in a more open and flexible manner, using a Free and Intuitive Child Education Model, based on the Modern School Movement; Manual and Family Therapies; as well as well-being physical activities like Yoga.

Das Projekt Maternura ist schon seit 2011 tätig, ist aber immernoch in einer frühen Phase der Bereitstellung im Bereich Ilhavo-Aveiro, und das ohne Unterstützung, welcher Art auch immer.Das was diese Arbeit auszeichnet zu veröffentlichen ist wesentlich, damit die Eltern die vorhandenen Dienstleistungen ausnutzen können, wenn sie dies wünschen. Um so viele Menschen wie möglich zu erreichen, werden jetzt durch dieses Fundraising  Sponsoren für die Finanzierung einer effektive Verbreitungs-Kampagne gesucht.

Maternura (Mater – Mutter, Ternura – Zuneigung) wurde 2011 in Ílhavo unter der Koordination von Cláudia Pinheiro, Körperpsychotherapeutin für Emotionalen Krisenbegleitung für Schwangerschaft und der frühen Kindheit, entwickelt von der Körperpsychotherapeutin Paula Diederichs, in Berlin. Im Juli 2014 hat Cláudia zusammen mit einer motivierten Mutter, Ana Sofia Pereira, und einer kämpferischen Erzieherin, Ana Santos, den aktuellen gemeinnütziger Verein: MATERNURA – Netzwerk Unterstützung von Kindheit und Mutterschaft gebildet. So entstand  die Kindertagesstätte in Ílhavo, mit dem Wunsch die erste von vielen anderen zu sein, die noch ueber das ganze Land verstreut entstehen können.

In dem Bewusstsein, dass jedes Kind eine enge Verbindung zu seiner Mutter und Familie hat und, dass das Umsorgen der Mutter genauso wichtig ist, wie das des Kindes, wurden die Kindertagesstätte Maternura, Zentren sowohl für Babysitting wie auch für Matersitting, gegruendet. Unsere Erzieherinnen, kuemmern sich intuitiv um die Kinder/Muetter und Väter, sie sind Kuenstler der Erziehung. Wir empfangen die Eltern mit ihren Zweifeln und Ängsten aus der Nähe, mit dem Herzen. Das Ziel ist die Elternschaft zu fördern, zu stärken und die angeborenen muetterlichen Fähigkeiten der Frauen/Muetter zu unterstuetzen. Ausserdem bieten wir Infrastrukturen und praktische Informationen an, die in der ersten Phase der Mutterschaft helfen. Mehr als pädagogische Ziele haben wir allgemeine zwischenmenschliche Objektive wie emotionale Bindungen zu den Kindern, ihren Eltern und den Kollegen aufzubauen, authentisch und präsent zu sein, wenn wir gebraucht werden. Durch die Unterstuetzung der Familien bei den Aufgaben der Erziehung und Fürsorge ihrer Kinder wird das Wohlbefinden und die Zufriedenheit der Muetter, der Kinder und der ganzen Familie gesteigert.

Maternura Child Center Association is composed of its founders:

Claudia Pinheiro created the MATERNURA project in 2011 to address a lack of support which is felt daily in family lives and which was experienced by herself as a mother. She works as a Biodynamic Massage Therapist since 2006 and a Pregnancy and Early Childhood Crisis Intervention Mind-Body Therapist since 2008. She has a Degree in Architecture through the Lisbon Technical University in 1990. Born in Porto, in 1965, she lives in Ìlhavo and has three daughters.

Ana Sofia Pereira became a first-time mother in the middle of 2012 and, for this reason, became an assiduous and enthusiastic Maternura visitor. Currently, she is a member of the board and actively participates in developing her initiative potential as a social entrepreneur. She is a member of the “Cidadãos Aveiro em Transição” (Aveiro Citizens in Transition) initiative. She has a Degree in Applied Foreign Languages through the University of Minho. Born in Vila do Conde, in 1981, she currently lives in Aveiro.

Ana Isabel Santos is a Kindergarten Teacher and Educational Coordinator of Maternura Child Centre. She had a Degree in Childhood Education through the University of Aveiro, in 2008 and has a Masters in Child Studies through the University of Minho, in 2011. Born in 1986, in Aveiro, she currently lives in Ílhavo. Besides a genuine love for children she also has a passion for music, participating in some musical projects.

Budget and due dates

The required amount will be applied during the Academic year 2015/2016 and directed towards effective promotional campaigns of the Maternura Child Center, such as:
-Distribution of pamphlets and informative posters in schools, health centers etc. to better reach the families; (budgeted at approximately 400€)
-Promotion through local radio stations; (budgeted at approximately 600€)
