The Red Cross delegation of Torres Vedras, supports on a monthly basis, 36 families in the county, providing food and other basic and nourishment.

The delegation of the Red Cross in Torres Vedras supports on a monthly basis, 36 families in the county, providing food and other basic and nourishment.

In 16 months we have raised 24,5 tones of food, evaluated ate 31.900€ to provide for families and other institutions in need.

We also have a team of 12 rescuers that in 4 months have 1.000 hours in volunteer work in 14 different events, with over 100 assistances.

About the author

The delegation of the Red Cross in Torres Vedras is a humanitarian nonprofit institution with the mission of defending the life, health and human dignity.

At a time when the poorest families need more support than ever we'll bet in the social area, helping those in need.

Budget and due dates

We intend to expand our capacity to store food, therefore supporting another 10 more families in the county of Torres Vedras.
The value is of 900€, for the propos of concluding the requalification of our Storage area by November 5th of 2015.
The value mentioned includes the purchase of shelves and racks to store more food.
All the work and labor is volunteered.
